Last weekend, we got to do something really fun. We got tickets to Kansas Speedway and watched the NASCAR nationwide race. Finn, Chris & Gpa Rollie and I had a blast! My favorite part was the walkie talkie feature on our headsets. We could talk to each other, and hear the pit crews! I also really liked the tunnel that let us go into the in-field with our track passes!

I’m enjoying 2nd grade so far! Here’s a sampling of the work I’ve been doing. Mommy will continue to update my gallery page throughout the school year, so be sure to check there often!

Last week I went with Dad and Sarah’s family to Colorado. It was my first time to see the mountains and I had a blast. Dad gave me a bag of change for spending money on the trip and my first and best purchase was a coon skin hat. I wore it all of the time. I went down the alpine slides over-and-over-and-over, jumped on the budgie trampoline (which I was able to do multiple flips on), went horse-back riding, swam, ran around with Grace and Betsy, and was thoroughly worn out every night!

Nick, Alex, and Mr. Miller came with us to the lake this weekend. We had a great time jumping off of the dock all day, swimming at Franky and Louis’, paddling the paddle boat, and riding in the bumper boats. We had a lot of fun and were VERY tired by the end of the weekend.

It’s always fun to have neighborhood friends over – especially when tree climbing and fireworks are involved!
